Candle Safety

Each candle includes care and lighting instructions on the bottom label. Candles add a fragrant enhancement to living and work spaces and are safe to enjoy, but we encourage care and attention to the following guidelines:

  • Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room and on a heat-resistant surface.

  • Do not leave a burning candle unattended.

  • Avoid drafts, vents, ceiling fans or other moving air pathways to encourage even burning and minimize smoke or a flickering wick.

  • Never touch a burning candle or move a candle when the wax is liquid.

  • Never extinguish candles with water.

  • Make sure a candle is completely extinguished before leaving the room.

  • Keep candles out of the reach of small children and pets.

  • Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

Burning Your Candle

Before

Always trim your wick to 1/8” - 1/4” before lighting. Every time. Your candle will burn longer, cleaner and more evenly.

During

For the initial burn, allow the candle to create a full melted wax pool across the entire candle. This will ensure even burning and maximum fragrance release for the life of your candle and is typically achieved within 3 hours.

For subsequent lightings we recommend a burn time of 3-4 hours, fully melting the wax across the top each time. If you like to leave a candle burning for an extended time, we strongly recommend extinguishing the flame, trimming the wicks and relighting every 3-4 hours. This will prolong the burn time and reduce the possibility of excess carbon buildup on the wick tip (which occurs regardless of the wax / fragrance formula).

If your wick begins smoking or flickering excessively, extinguish the flame and trim the wick – then relight the candle.

Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

After

Use care when extinguishing the candle; a short, directed puff of air aimed at each wick is usually sufficient. Alternatively, you can use a candle snuffer. We do not recommend using a candle lid to extinguish the flame as this will trap smoke inside your container.

All of our fragrance oils are 100% phthalate free. They are high-quality fragrance oils made with tried and tested formulas recommended for making candles, wax tablets and room sprays.

Tip: to prevent smoke from an extinguished wick, gently bend the wick until it touches the melted wax. This will immediately extinguish any smoke. Alternatively, you can use a toothpick or other utensil to gently drip a couple drops of the melted wax onto the wick tip for the same result.

Do not move candles until the wax is cooled and set. Use caution as containers can be hot to the touch. Consider using several candles for a permeating fragrance in large spaces with high ceilings or open floor plans.

Enjoy your candles!

Crystal Care

Keep your bracelet dry
Your bracelet is not meant to be worn in the water. Minerals and chlorine added to most tap water and swimming pools can harm the natural stones and metal spacer beads. If you accidentally wear your bracelet while your hands are submerged in water, make sure to dry them off right away.

Take off your bracelet before working out
Your crystal bracelet is meant for everyday wear however, to avoid scratching the natural stones or overly stretching the elastic cord, we recommend that you take off your bracelet before working out or doing anything really active.

Protect your bracelet from harsh chemicals
Lotions, harsh soaps, and even sweat can create build-up and discolouration between the crystals. If you are cleaning with household cleaners, applying lotions and oils, makeup, hair spray, or perfume - take off your bracelet until you are done.

Store your bracelet in a clean, dry place
It is important to protect your bracelets when not worn. You can also store your bracelet inside a jewelry box or any other clean, dry place.

How to cleanse your crystal bracelet:

Why is cleansing your crystal bracelet important?

Cleansing the energy of your bracelet is just as important as keeping it physically clean. Crystals are naturally extracted from the earth and therefore naturally retain the energies of the sun, moon and the ocean which are all considered natural healing energies.

How often do I need to cleanse my bracelet?

As a general guideline, the more you wear your bracelet the more energy it collects through direct contact with you and your environment. A good rule of thumb is to cleanse it at least once a month to make sure it stays high vibe. However, we always recommend using your intuition as much as possible. If your bracelet feels energetically heavier than usual and disconnected from you, it is most likely time for a cleanse.

Cleansing Methods:

Selenite or Clear Quartz Crystal

Use a selenite slab or clear quartz crystal tower to cleanse your bracelet. Selenite and quartz all have the ability to cleanse and purify other crystals without losing their own energy, which makes them powerful cleansing agents. Lay your bracelet on top of a selenite or clear quartz for at least six hours to cleanse its energy.

Sound

The sound of crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, crystal pyramids, and tingsha bells emit powerful vibrations when played, that have the ability to balance the energy of crystals.

Brown Rice

Brown rice can also be used to draw out the negative energies of crystals in a safe and contained setting. Fill a small bowl with dry brown rice and lightly bury your bracelet beneath the grains for 24 hours. Once complete, dispose of the rice right away. Do not cook or consume it as it has absorbed the energy you were trying to clear.
